WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS
*CALL TO WORSHIP Rev. Dr. Ralph Wooten
We come this morning seeking our hope. Our hope is Jesus.
High priest, supreme sacrifice, gracious God.
Our hope, our source of eternal life. Jesus the Christ.
Jesus, son of God, son of Mary and Joseph.
Jesus, suffering servant made perfect. Jesus our hope.
*OPENING PRAYER Rev. Dr. Ralph Wooten
Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us sinners.
Deal gently with the ignorant and wayward.
In your mercy, draw the stiff-necked and stone hearted to you.
In your mercy, bring us to your love and everlasting life.
In your name Jesus. Amen.
HYMN All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name Chancel Choir
*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
*DOXOLOGY Chancel Choir
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
